Greg McCarthy

Greg McCarthy is a Practice Advisor in Cisco’s Business Transformation team, responsible for key accounts in the Manufacturing Discrete and CPG vertical practices. Mr. McCarthy has over thirty years of management and consulting experience focusing on strategic planning, product strategy, market research, business process re-engineering, automation hardware and software systems development and systems implementation. He has both broad and deep experience working for clients in the Discrete and CPG manufacturing industries across multiple geographies including the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Over the course of his career, Mr. McCarthy has focused on three primary areas:

• Business Process Engineering: Advising clients on the development and deployment of new methodologies

• Value Creation: Identifying unique views into manufacturing processes and their associated costs

• Product Development and Deployment: Automation hardware and software products and solutions

Prior to Cisco, Greg was employed by General Electric, holding a variety of positions over two+ decades. These included Account Management of several major global automotive manufactures for GE’s joint venture with Fanuc Automation, GE Fanuc Automation. He spent 5+ years in Asia, first working with a major Japanese automotive manufacturer in the design and development of advanced production software systems and later managing GE Fanuc’s businesses in both Japan and South Korea. Greg was also the Director of Supply Chain Security for Sekuworks LLC, responsible for the marketing and sales of Brand Protection software solutions.

Mr. McCarthy received his MSCS from Union College, and his BA from the State University of New York Albany, and is SixSigma Greenbelt certified.
